About Us

Our Vision

MedAlliesWorld® LifeLine Foundation is partnering with local Parkinson’s patients and their families in the Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) region to generate support for their local Parkinson’s Disease / Movement Disorders Research programs.

We envision a world where increased funding in education, research, and clinical care for Parkinson’s Disease, greatly impacts those who are affected by it.

Through financial support for post-doctoral fellowships and training programs, we strive to contribute in providing Parkinson’s patients with high quality care from dedicated specialists.

About Us

Our Advocacy

Our advocacy is driven by our personal experiences in the capacity of patients and caregivers. We are motivated by the mission to bring hope, promise and a curable future for those affected by Parkinson’s Disease.

We are failing our Parkinson’s patients with an insufficient number of residency and fellowship programs, resulting to shortage of Movement Disorders Specialists and fewer specialty clinics. The demand far outweighs the supply.

After years of progress, a disease that was once considered untreatable has shown promising advancements when placed in the right hands of Movement Disorders specialists. Equipped with the right tools and an increased understanding, specialists now have the power to vastly improve the quality of life for the patients affected. Yet, in the U.S., many states lack these specialists. However, because this disease is so unique to each person, a Movement Disorders Specialist is vital to the proper care of each patient.

Together, we can increase the education, research and clinical care around Parkinson’s Disease through fellowships and training to provide a curable future for those affected.
